Agentic Product Specialist – Manager

SUMMARY Agentic Product Specialist – Manager within the Digital Manufacturing Agents team is responsible for building and delivering agentic AI capabilities across Pfizer’s manufacturing network in support of the Integrated Manufacturing Excellence (IMEx) operating system. Working hands-on with frontier AI tools, the role designs, prototypes, evaluates, and ships production-grade agents that access knowledge, synthesize information, support decision-making, and execute work alongside manufacturing colleagues – including the evolution of the Digital Operations Centre (DOC) into an intelligent, agent-enabled manufacturing experience. Operating as a product owner, the role translates user needs into agent behaviours, backlogs, and measurable outcomes, partnering closely with engineers, data scientists, manufacturing SMEs, and business stakeholders to iterate rapidly from idea to prototype to adopted product across the manufacturing network. If you want to work on the hardest, most exciting problems in applied AI for manufacturing, this is the team.   Agentic Product Build & Delivery Build and deliver agentic AI capabilities hands-on: define agent use cases, behaviours, prompts, workflows, and tool integrations with manufacturing systems and knowledge sources, working day-to-day with engineers and data scientists. Rapidly prototype and mock agent experiences using AI and agentic tools, co-creating directly with customers and manufacturing SMEs to test ideas and validate value before build. Implement and run agent evaluation frameworks, guardrails, and human-in-the-loop oversight models, using results to drive quality, trust, and adoption. Transform manufacturing knowledge and SME expertise into reusable, scalable intelligence assets that power agent capabilities, contributing to the evolution of DOC from a content-centric platform to an agent-enabled experience.   Product Ownership & Backlog Own the product backlog for assigned agentic capabilities: translate user needs into user stories, acceptance criteria, and measurable outcomes, prioritised by business value and technical feasibility. Apply modern product management practices – customer discovery, journey mapping, experimentation, and value realization – within the roadmap set by Digital Manufacturing Agents leadership. Lead co-creation workshops, discovery activities, pilots, demonstrations, and feedback cycles with manufacturing stakeholders, acting as the voice of the customer. Develop and execute adoption activities that maximise utilisation, engagement, and business impact.   Agent Lifecycle & Operations Deploy, monitor, evaluate, and continuously improve production agents, using evaluation results, user feedback, operational insights, and performance data. Define agent value propositions, success metrics, and adoption strategies for each capability release. Support incident triage, root-cause analysis, and continuous improvement for deployed agentic products in regulated manufacturing environments.   Governance & Responsible AI Apply governance frameworks supporting AI and agentic product development, deployment, monitoring, and lifecycle management. Ensure Digital Manufacturing Agents products align with Pfizer requirements for Responsible AI, cybersecurity, data governance, quality, validation, and compliance. Execute processes for agent evaluation, performance monitoring, change management, human oversight, and risk management within regulated manufacturing environments. Partner with Quality, Cybersecurity, Data & Analytics, and Engineering teams to ensure compliant and scalable delivery.   Value Realisation & Scale Track product success metrics and value realisation for delivered agentic solutions.
