We have an exciting permanent opportunity for a Senior Manager Logistics to join our Logistics team, based out of our Southbank, Melbourne CBD office! Key position responsibilities include, but not limited to: Lead end-to-end logistics across ANZ, covering road, rail and sea transport, plus warehousing operations. Own and manage the logistics cost base, including forecasting, budgeting and cost control. Set the operating strategy for transport and warehousing, translating business needs into clear plans and service outcomes. Drive continuous improvement across safety, service, quality and cost, using KPIs to identify issues and deliver measurable gains. Establish and maintain strong governance for logistics policies, procedures and compliance, ensuring consistent execution across the network. Manage the financial administration of logistics operations, including invoice approvals, accruals and accounts payable processes. Lead major productivity initiatives and contract/service performance reviews with transport and warehouse partners. Build high-performing teams through coaching, capability development, clear accountabilities and year-on-year engagement improvement. Partner closely with procurement, operations, finance, planning and customer teams to align priorities and resolve cross-functional constraints. Contribute to end-to-end planning processes and the ANZ logistics leadership forum, bringing insights, risks and action plans to support business goals.
About you
Bachelor’s degree in business, logistics, transportation, supply chain, or a related field. Strong and proven experience leading transportation and logistics across ANZ, including distribution centre operations and 3PL management. Managed multi-modal transport (road/rail/sea) and warehousing operations at scale. Strong understanding of transport regulations, safety, and compliance, with a track record of consistent execution. Proven ownership of large budgets and full P&L accountability, including forecasting, month-end routines, accrual accuracy, and cost control. Confident people leader with experience managing leaders and large, dispersed teams, building capability and improving engagement over time. Commercially minded partner who collaborates well across functions and manages external providers through clear expectations and performance review. Comfortable using logistics and reporting systems (ERP/SAP, TMS, WMS, Tableau) and delivering transformation or continuous improvement (Lean/Six Sigma or similar).
