Storage & Backup Specialist (F/M) - Spécialiste Stockage & Sauvegarde (H/F)

Airbus Defence and Space is looking for a Storage & Backup Specialist (f/m) to join our Digital Security team based in Elancourt, France. As part of the Digital team, You will be responsible for supporting the implementation, continuous optimization, and maintenance of our critical storage and backup infrastructure, ensuring data integrity, availability, and security compliance in accordance with established company IT strategies. Your challenges : Implement, configure, and manage enterprise-level storage solutions (SAN, NAS, object storage) to meet business and project requirements based on established IT system concepts. Technical Support and Consultation: Provide expert technical guidance and support to engineering teams, project managers, and stakeholders. Act as a subject matter expert in specific technology domains. Administer and optimize backup and recovery systems, including assisting in disaster recovery testing and executing security concepts along with our service provider. Develop and maintain technical documentation for storage and backup infrastructure and operational procedures. Collaborate with other IT teams to ensure the seamless integration and continuous improvement of storage and backup solutions with other systems. Identify operational weaknesses and implement enhancements to improve storage and backup efficiency, capacity utilization, and reliability (further developing existing solution patterns). Act as a technical point of contact for the operations team to support run activities, troubleshooting, and alignment of processes within defined framework guidelines. Execute ITIL-based processes, including incident, problem, change, configuration, asset management, and entry-into-service procedures. Your profile :

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or an equivalent qualification.

3 to 5 years of professional experience in enterprise storage and backup infrastructure environments. Problem-Solving: Demonstrable rigor in problem-solving through the application and further development of known technical solutions. Teamwork & Communication: Strong team spirit, collaborative mindset, and solid interpersonal skills to align with internal stakeholders and interface partners. Certifications: Relevant professional certifications in storage or backup technologies (e.g., NetApp, Veeam,) or ITIL are a plus.
