Run all jobs in accordance with customer specification, manufacturing specification, and standard operating procedures. Organize, record, and ensure proper storage of resin. Adjust machine specifications, pressures, and equipment for each job Ensure all appropriate paperwork is filled out accurately and completely. Work with and direct the extrusion assistant and other team mates to minimize job change-over and down time. Train and direct the extrusion assistant to become efficient at all the required assistant duties defined in each level of the assistant training matrix on time. While also knowing and understanding the role in product safety.\ Comply with all 5S and WCM initiatives (Cross Training, moving to the work) All other duties as assigned by supervisor or management Job Description: Press Assistant What you’ll do: Prepare inks, substrates, plates, cylinders, gears, etc. for scheduled job. Assist Press Operator in monitoring the product to ensure quality Knowledge and ability to perform make-readies. Participate in the operation of the press with the ability to operate if needed. Order, Charge, and Return raw materials to each job as needed. Complete necessary daily paperwork. Complete 5S/housekeeping logs. Follow and be held accountable for adherence to all of the company policies and procedures as they are outlined and defined. Remove and identify all scrap except flying splices before master rolls get moved to WIP area All other duties as assigned by Manufacturing Supervisor and/or Management What we want from you: Lead the Pack Preferred qualifications: Previous manufacturing experienc Knowledgeable and able to understand a computer and program Excellent verbal and written communication skills Good organizational and interpersonal skills Ability to interact effectively and professionally with others in a team environment Physical Requirements Ability to lift up to 50-60 lbs Willing and able to stand and walk for a 12 hour shift Frequent reaching, bending, stooping, kneeling, and twisting Frequent use of wrist and hands Frequent stepping up and down from platforms Reasonable accommodations will be considered on a case-by-case basis Why Amcor?
