About this role

The principal responsibility of this position is to provide high-level administrative support to MDs and members of the Buyout Team based in Munich, working closely with external CEOs and Portfolio Companies on a daily basis. The role requires a strong sense of ownership and independence in managing day-to-day operations, with a proactive approach to prioritisation and problem-solving.

The individual will act as a key point of contact for senior stakeholders, both internally and externally, and will represent Carlyle with confidence and professionalism in all interactions.* Own and strategically manage complex MD calendars, anticipating conflicts and aligning schedules to business priorities. * Proactively manage shifting priorities, ensuring alignment with evolving business needs. * Operate with a high degree of autonomy, using initiative and judgment to drive priorities forward. * Lead coordination of high-volume, business-critical meetings across time zones. * Own end-to-end executive travel, proactively mitigating risks and disruptions. * Oversee expenses and travel tracking, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timeliness. * Drive high standards and continuous improvement across administrative processes. * Use Microsoft Office and related tools to manage priorities and deliver high-quality outputs * Represent Carlyle with confidence and professionalism in all communications. * Act as a trusted partner and key interface for senior stakeholders, CEOs, and portfolio companies. * Build strong relationships across international teams with credibility and sound judgment. * Oversee documentation workflows, including approvals and signatures across jurisdictions. * Take full ownership of day-to-day operations, managing priorities independently. * Partner with MDs to anticipate needs and align support to business priorities. * Identify inefficiencies and implement process improvements. * Act as a central point of contact for the Munich office, ensuring a well-run environment. * Handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism. * Other reasonably related duties as assigned.Professional Experience * Minimum of 5 years previous experience in a similar role providing dedicated Executive Assistant

support to senior executives.

Competencies & Attributes * Fluent in German and English, confident with senior stakeholders. * Strong organisational skills; able to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment. * Proactive and autonomous in anticipating and resolving issues (e.g. travel, scheduling). * Flexible and autonomous in judgment when handling changing priorities. * Proven ability to improve administrative systems and processes. * Advanced Microsoft Office skills (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint). * High attention to detail and accuracy. * Able to work independently with ownership, and effectively within a team. * Strong written and verbal communication skills. * Resourceful and solution-oriented. * Collaborative and professional approach to teamwork * The candidate must be approachable, with a "can do" attitude, and willingness to perform the job. * University degree preferred, but not essential if relevant experienced can be demonstrated. ​ ​ ​ Who We Are When people, ideas, and capital come together, opportunity expands across private markets.
