You will be a part of highly creative and efficient multi-disciplinary BIM design team, tasked with designing challenging and complex projects with innovative solutions for Amazon-owned data center facilities. You will provide support to our Design Engineering team through the preparation of Structural BIM models and documentation, leveraging BIM data. You will influence data center design documents for: structural systems, exterior envelope design, site and civil planning, material lifecycle and sustainability, seismic considerations, and building code compliance. You will produce and maintain Structural drawing sets for our fleet of data centers. Key job responsibilities Daily responsibilities will include designing the Structural systems for our data centers, utilizing Revit to create and maintain BIM models. You must be able to work independently with occasional guidance, and work within a team environment to accomplish assigned tasks. This includes working with internal groups, as well as external suppliers, consultants, manufacturers, vendors, and contractors. Your duties will include: - Being self-motivated to work within the BIM Designer group and across other teams. - Preparing and developing detailed Structural Revit models. - Developing and publishing construction documentation for Structural building system designs in a fast-paced environment to meet scheduled deliverables. - Creating and maintaining regional and global libraries, including Revit Families, Details, and Detail Components. - Updating and modifying existing models, studies, and construction documents, as required. - Assisting the creation and maintenance of BIM templates and enforcing BIM standards. - Participating in design coordination meetings with other trades for clash detection and resolution. - Working on
