We are seeking an experienced and passionate Software Engineering Lead to guide, mentor, and develop a talented team of software engineers. This is a senior role that blends deep technical expertise with exceptional people management skills. You will be responsible for fostering a culture of technical excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement while overseeing the development and lifecycle of our core software applications.

Lead, manage, and inspire a team of software engineers, fostering their professional growth and career development. Conduct regular one-on-ones, performance reviews, and goal-setting sessions. Cultivate a positive, inclusive, and performance-oriented spirit, fostering a team culture that values collaboration and innovation. Encourage and facilitate technical studies, knowledge sharing sessions, and continuous learning within the chapter. Provide technical leadership and guidance on the architecture, design, and implementation of software applications built with Java, Kubernetes, and cloud technologies. Champion software engineering best practices, including code quality, automated testing, CI/CD, and application lifecycle management. Stay current with industry trends and drive the adoption of new technologies and methodologies to solve complex problems. Ensure the reliability, scalability, and performance of our software systems. Effectively communicate technical concepts, project status, and risks to both technical and non-technical stakeholders at various levels.

Proven experience in a senior software engineering role with a track record of technical leadership. Demonstrable experience in people management, including coaching, mentoring, and performance management of software engineers. Strong hands-on expertise with our core technology stack: Java and its ecosystem (e.g., Spring Boot, Hibernate). Python for scripting or application development. Kafka for building event-driven architectures. Containerization and orchestration technologies (Kubernetes, Docker). Major Cloud Computing platforms Solid understanding of microservices architecture, distributed systems, and modern software development principles. Business fluency in English is mandatory. Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills. A proactive, well-spoken, and solution-oriented individual with a passion for both technology and people.. Proven ability to leverage AI tools to enhance productivity, optimise workflows to solve business problems, while applying critical judgment to ensure responsible and ethical use of data and AI outputs.
