Benefits Program Consultant Senior Location: This role requires associates to be in-office 1 - 2 days per week, fostering collaboration and connectivity, while providing flexibility to support productivity and work-life balance. This approach combines structured office engagement with the autonomy of virtual work, promoting a dynamic and adaptable workplace. The  Benefits Program Consultant Senior will be responsible for serving as the organization’s senior subject matter expert for defined benefit pension programs, including regulatory compliance, actuarial oversight, operational governance, and strategic administration. How you will make an impact: Interprets ERISA, IRS, and Department of Labor requirements to ensure accurate filings, successful audits, and reduced legal and financial risk. Reviews actuarial valuations, funding calculations, plan assumptions, pension estimates, executive benefits, lump-sum conversions, and complex benefit determinations for accuracy and consistency. Resolves technical calculation issues and provides guidance to support accurate benefit administration and consistent plan interpretation. Leads pension system enhancements, testing, implementations, process improvements, and cross-functional initiatives that strengthen operational efficiency and organizational readiness. Advises leadership and business partners on complex pension matters, regulatory requirements, operational strategy, and long-term program planning. Influences enterprise decision-making through technical expertise, stakeholder collaboration, and data-driven recommendations that support effective governance and program sustainability.

Requires a BA/BS in Business, Finance, Mathematics, Actuarial Science, Human Resources, Accounting, or a related discipline and a minimum of 10 years of experience supporting defined benefit pension programs, with knowledge of ERISA, IRS, and Department of Labor regulations and experience in coordinating Form 5500 filings, reviewing actuarial valuations, validating actuarial assumptions and calculations, and performing pension benefit, funding, executive pension, and lump-sum calculations; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background. Preferred Skills, Capabilities and Experiences: 10+ years of pension experience strongly preferred.
