Role description: The GPSS Specialist I is responsible for delivering high-quality people administration services to the business, managing requests through the People Assist system and working within defined service level agreements. The role provides support throughout the employee life cycle, ensuring timely and accurate processing of People requests/transactions. As a member of the centralized GPSS team, the Specialist I works within an agreed service area and may move between areas on a rotational basis to support knowledge-sharing and career development. Additionally, the Specialist I will also perform queue management duties by triaging requests in People Assist and ensuring they are assigned to the appropriate individual or team. Role accountabilities: Service Delivery & Case Management
Manage employee and manager requests through People Assist, ensuring cases are accurately documented, effectively tracked, and resolved in a timely manner. Monitor service request deadlines and escalate risks to the line manager when cases are approaching or exceeding target timelines. Review and triage incoming requests, providing standard guidance using approved resources or routing cases to the appropriate team member for resolution. Communicate clearly and professionally with employees, managers, and stakeholders throughout the case resolution process.
People Administration, Data Management & Compliance
Perform people administration activities across the Employee Life Cycle in accordance with established GPSS processes and procedures. Accurately maintain employee records in Oracle HCM, following GPSS Knowledge Base Articles (KBAs) and approved workflows. File and manage employee documentation, prepare letters and notifications, and ensure records are complete, accurate, and up to date. Adhere to data privacy, confidentiality, and compliance requirements, ensuring alignment with internal controls and regulatory standards.
Continuous Improvement & Knowledge Management
Support the review and maintenance of process documentation, KBAs, and workflows to ensure accuracy, consistency, and accessibility. Identify and recommend process improvement and automation opportunities that enhance operational efficiency and service quality. Contribute to knowledge sharing initiatives and support the continuous development of team capabilities.
Collaboration & Project Support
Collaborate with People colleagues, business leaders, and third-party vendors to resolve inquiries and deliver effective people solutions. Build strong working relationships with stakeholders and actively contribute to a culture of collaboration and knowledge sharing.
Support ad hoc projects, change initiatives, and the implementation of new systems, tools, processes, and ways of working. Qualifications & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in any field. 0–1 years of experience in People/HR role or any customer service environment. Ability to prioritize and complete workload within deadlines. Exhibits emerging teamwork and collaboration skills. Effective communication with employees and managers at all levels. Willingness to work on rotating shifts. Flexible and adaptable to change; able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment. Dedicated to delivering excellent customer service. Proficient with Microsoft applications and general computer skills. Ability to adapt quickly to organizational rules and processes. Capable of working independently while meeting service quality
