Job Description
Motorola Solutions is building talent pipelines to meet future hiring demands. This is a pipeline role, while there is not an immediate opening, we want to build relationships with prospective candidates like you. The Sr. Manager of Presales Engineering will lead, scale, and elevate our Global Enterprise Solutions Engineering team. In this role, the Sr. Manager will bridge the gap between technical innovation and revenue growth, driving the technical sales strategy for complex enterprise deals. The Sr. Manager will manage a high-performing team of Presales Engineers who partner with Account Executives to win multi-year, complex enterprise SaaS contracts. The Sr. Manager leads the team beyond traditional product demos—and drive value-based technical selling , establish scalable presales operations, integrate AI tools into the presales lifecycle, and foster deep cross-functional alignment with Product, RevOps, Engineering, and Customer Success. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Strategic Leadership & Team Management Partner directly with Sales Leadership on tier-1 enterprise opportunities. Serve as the executive sponsor on complex technical evaluations, POCs, and security reviews Strategically align PSE resources to high-value opportunities based on domain expertise, capacity, and account complexity Operations & Revenue Alignment Shift team focus from feature demonstration to business-outcome selling, value realization modeling, and architectural alignment with customer Enterprise Architecture teams Define and standardize the technical sales methodology—from discovery and custom demo environments to Proofs of Concept (POCs/POV) and the technical responses to our RFP responses Oversee the full technical presales lifecycle, from opportunity identification and proposal inception through transition to the post-sale team Modernize presales tools by leveraging AI demo automation, automated RFP intelligence, and interactive sandbox environments to accelerate the technical sales cycle Cross-Functional Collaboration Establish a formal channel to feed field intelligence, feature requests, competitive insights, and friction points directly to Product Management and Engineering Work closely with Professional Services, Customer Success, and Implementation teams to ensure seamless handoffs and fast time-to-value for new enterprise customers Collaborate with Product Marketing to develop technical battlecards, demo stories, and technical whitepapers Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree with 6+ years experience in Engineering, Sales Engineering, Sales Experience selling into the enterprise market required Familiarity with Motorola Solutions' product portfolio (specifically: video security or software) Experience leading proposal development for large, complex RFPs Deep understanding of modern Enterprise Cloud Architecture (AWS), REST APIs, microservices, security protocols (SOC2, ISO27001, GDPR), and data governance Familiarity with modern
