Legal Entity: Entergy Louisiana, LLC Analyst I, II, or III (Louisiana Regulatory Affairs) **This position may be filled as an Analyst I, II, or III depending on the candidate's qualifications and experience.** JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
Developing analysis in support of regulatory filings and discovery responses. Routine interfacing with other internal organizations, including the finance and accounting organizations, to gather and analyze information in support of regulatory filings. Drafting and reviewing testimony and Company comments in LPSC rulemakings and proceedings. Drafting and reviewing responses to discovery for LPSC regulatory proceedings. Supporting regulatory outreach efforts.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS Minimum education required of the position
Bachelor degree from an accredited university in the areas of accounting, economics, engineering, finance or related field. Masters’ degree desired.
Minimum experience required of the position
Analyst I: 0 years Analyst II: 1-3 years of relevant experience Analyst III: 4-6 years of experience in various functional areas within the electric utility industry
Minimum knowledge, skills and abilities required of the position
Strong analytical, problem solving, and critical thinking skills as well as attention to detail. Excellent oral and written communication skills are essential, as exhibited by the ability to express complex subjects orally and in writing in terms understandable to those without extensive backgrounds in the regulatory arena. Professional writing sample requested with application. Self-starter that requires little supervision. Ability to develop detailed spreadsheets as well as perform detailed analysis and convert this analysis into a meaningful summary for which to make recommendations, required. Excellent organizational skills, ability to organize and prioritize work. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in a team setting. Willing and able to perform other duties as required and learn new processes and technologies. Knowledge of electric utility business and the regulatory process, including the principles of cost-of-service, rate design, system dispatch, generation planning, and regulatory accounting desirable. Advanced PC skills utilizing Microsoft Office and other mainframe business applications.
