Our Albany Medical Center based practice currently consists of two friendly and collaborative partners, and we are eager to welcome a colleague who shares our commitment to excellent patient care, education, and service to our community. With a regional population of more than one million people, the Capital Region offers a diverse mix of urban, suburban, and rural communities and provides a robust patient base for gynecologic oncology services for patients up to 160 miles away. At Albany Med, we deliver the full spectrum of gynecologic cancer care, including surgical management, chemotherapy administration, and comprehensive multidisciplinary treatment. We collaborate closely with surgical subspecialists across disciplines, enabling us to provide advanced, complex oncologic care within a supportive environment. Our practice is has expanded to serve the Saratoga community, with plans to establish additional outpatient services in Glens Falls, ensuring greater regional access to high-quality care. What sets this opportunity apart is our culture of collegiality. Our division works within a well-rounded and tight-knit Obstetrics and Gynecology department, where all subspecialties are housed together in one clinical setting. This structure fosters collaboration, support, and a sense of community. The generalist group provides strong coverage for obstetric emergencies, including many cesarean hysterectomies, and the Maternal-Fetal Medicine division manages most placenta accreta cases, reducing OB call demands. With the support of a maternal-fetal medicine colleague, weekend call with three gynecologic oncologists will be one in four. We are in the early stages of developing a clinical trials program that will expand research and clinical opportunities for both faculty and patients in the Capital Region. A candidate with experience in day-to-day clinical trials management will have the chance to shape this program and help bring cutting-edge treatments to our community. An ideal candidate is a board-certified (or board-eligible) gynecologic oncologist who is eager to join a collaborative and supportive practice. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic about working within a multidisciplinary team, and interested in contributing to the academic mission of Albany Medical College. Experience with clinical trials is strongly desired, as is an interest in helping to grow our expanding practice. This is an opportunity to join a collegial division where professional fulfillment, academic involvement, and quality of life are all valued and well balanced. The Capital Region offers a high quality of living, with affordable housing, excellent schools, vibrant arts and cultural opportunities, and excellent proximity to the Adirondacks, Berkshires, and major metropolitan areas such as New York City, Boston, and Montreal.
