The primary responsibilities for this position are as follows: preparing testing/training materials, test setup/clean-up, and support for all sensory department activities. Key Responsibilities:
Under the direction of the Principle Sensory Scientist schedule, prepare, set-up and clean-up after all sensory panels Maintain sensory testing space (kitchen/booths) and maintain inventory of supplies Operate Compusense program for questionnaire development, primarily of discrimination tests. Assist with basic report writing of discrimination tests and review of panelist’s comments Preparation of on-site and off-site training materials Descriptive Analysis sample procurement, preparation and serving Descriptive Analysis Panel moderator in training Continuously maintain internal sensory database

Required Qualification
High school diploma or equivalency required, plus a minimum of 12 college credits OR in lieu of college credits, 1 – 2 years of lab experience. 1-2 years of food industry/food lab or related industry/lab experience is a plus. The ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining the ability to redirect efforts based upon shifting demands. (exceptional organizational skills with extreme attention to detail) Ability to collaborate and network with business colleagues to build constructive, proactive working relationships across the organization. Exercises sound judgment in decision-making. Software proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Compusense sensory testing system. In absence of knowledge related to one or more of the above software systems, must demonstrate ability to learn the software system needed. Ability to accurately perform routine data entry in a proficient manner, and data management auditing and review. Ability to work within teams in both leadership and supportive roles (project dependent). Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and provide clear instructions to other technicians or contractors. Base S alary : $21.59-$30.48 Base salary compensation will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, experience for this role, and/or internal equity of our current employees as part of any final offer.
