Northrop Grumman’s Space Sector is seeking a Systems Engineer – Level 2 or Level 3 to join our team in Colorado Springs, CO .       What You'll Get to Do: Primary purpose will be to provide Systems Engineering expertise and support within a “radar”, “site activation” or “compute” IPT.  Requirements decomposition, SRR/PDR/CDR support, and technical expertise for the product line that they primarily support. Applying systems engineering best practices rigorously. Additional duties to include facilitation of technical content capture from SMEs to support CDRL development, I&T consultation and support, and technical baseline updates. Support system requirements development, management, analysis, and traceability, to translate customer requirements and CONOPS into systems requirements, and further allocate to lower-level requirements. Perform functional analysis and systems trade studies for technical solutions with respect to concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, and maintenance. Assist with the generation of well-defined and executable system and subsystem requirements documents, interface documents, and test and verification documents. Support system/subsystems integration, test, and requirements verification activities. Support system technical performance measurement definition and tracking. Support the preparation of system engineering materials during System Requirements Review, System Functional Review, Preliminary Design Review, Critical Design Review, System Verification Review, Test Readiness Review, and other program reviews as needed. Interface with inter-organizational management and external Customer to communicate technical briefing and program status *Please be aware that this position is contingent upon capturing program award(s) and obtaining and maintaining associated business and/or customer funding. Furthermore, this position is contingent upon the candidate obtaining final clearances and program access(es) within a reasonable period of time as determined by the company. Continued employment thereafter will be subject to maintenance at the level of clearance and program access required for the position in the future* This position can be filled at either a Level 2 or Level 3.

Basic Qualifications

Level 2 : 2 Years with Bachelors STEM in Science; 0 Years with Masters Level 3: 5 Years with Bachelors STEM in Science; 3 Years with Masters; 1 Years with PhD Must have an active U.S. Government Secret security clearance at time of application, current and within scope Experience working through the Systems Engineering lifecycle process for system development Experience with requirements decomposition and requirements management Experience with Atlassian tool suite (Jira, Confluence, etc.) Preferred Qualifications: Experience working with cross-functional integrated product teams Experience with SharePoint Expertise with MS Office tool suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project) Experience with Agile software development (PI Planning, 2-week
