About this role

A problem isn’t truly solved until it’s solved for all. That’s why Googlers build products that help create opportunities for everyone, whether down the street or across the globe. As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you’ll use your technical expertise to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. You’ll work with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. You're equally comfortable explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical tradeoffs in product development with engineers. The Consumer Payments Experiences (CPX) team is building the next-gen digital wallet that users can rely on for storing, using, and managing digital credentials including payments, identity, loyalty, tickets, etc. We use surfaces such as the Wallet App, Wearables, etc. to turn these into helpful and safe experiences for users. We also manage a variety of external relationships (e.g., OEMs, banks, aggregators, etc.) and the surfaces that our partners use to onboard. In this role, you'll partner with various cross-functional stakeholders (e.g., Product, Eng, UX, BD, Legal, gUp etc.) to drive projects that enable commerce journeys. You'll drive processes to inform product prioritization decisions that ensure resources are invested in the highest-priority areas. And you'll work closely with Engineering teams to ensure on-time, and high-quality product delivery. While there are multiple stakeholders involved in execution, you will be the primary point-of-contact for coordination and execution. Whether it is paying online with Autofill, using tap and pay in stores, or using the Google Pay app, the Payments team at Google is focused on making payments simple, seamless, and secure. In addition to consumer payment technologies, the Payments team also powers the money movement between Google and its consumers and businesses. Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. US: $138000 - $197000 (USD) + 15% bonus target + equity + benefits Learn more about benefits at Google .

Lead full software development life-cycle, from ideation, through implementation to post-production support. Interact with cross-functional and partner teams to gather proposals/requirements, and generate and execute project plans. Own software implementation projects, including providing full project management, creation and maintenance of implementation documentation and tracking timelines and deliverables. Collaborate across various teams within the broader payments organization, as well as cross-product area teams from Android, Devices etc.  Work closely with Product, Engineering, and cross-functional teams to resolve issues that arise during design and implementation, and during post-production.

Minimum qualifications: Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience. 2 years of experience in program management. Experience with software development lifecycle (SDLC). Experience with software implementation. Preferred qualifications: 2 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects. Experience in commerce/payments space.
