Northrop Grumman’s Space Sector is looking for a Radar Ground Segment (RGS) Special Projects and Agile Execution Lead to support leadership of a team responsible for the Cloud-based Ground Element of an On-Orbit constellation of radar satellites. This position can be in either Morrisville, NC, Linthicum MD, or Fairfax, VA. This RGS Product Line team is responsible for development, operations, and enhancement of a Ground segment supporting multiple space missions. This Ground segment is product line based, with a common, cloud-based software command, control, and a processing infrastructure, enhanced as required to support mission unique needs. The Special Projects and Agile Execution Lead will lead and manage specific initiatives under the office of the RGS Chief Engineer, as well as perform the role of the RGS Product Line Agile Champion and Agile Ceremony Leader. The Special Projects and Agile Execution Lead has the following primary responsibilities: Agile Champion and Ceremony Leader Facilitates Agile execution cadence and coordination across teams Lead Cross-team planning events (Increment Planning, Increment/Sprint Demos, Increment Retrospectives, Release Retrospectives) Define Areas of Continuous Agile Improvement Define, Track and Report on the Program’s Agile Execution Metrics Track Teams velocity, burndown, and continuous improvement metrics Coach product owners and scrum teams in agile delivery best practices Tracks cross-team dependency Support Initiatives Assigned to Office of the Chief Engineer to include: Execution of small ECPs with a period of performance less than 12 months Process improvements and documentation of existing processes Support to proposals and future business initiatives Identifying of areas for improvement within the current organization and leading the implementation.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM field and 8 years or master’s degree in a STEM field and 6 years of experience supporting U.S. Government contracts and customers and/or project management in other industries TS/SCI is required at time of application Experience with Agile software development and software development lifecycle Experience with coaching and demonstrating Agile principles and values Experience leading the performance of tasks on schedule, at cost and achieving all requirements. Experience supporting and/or managing Space programs related to developing software, ground systems, and/or space payload systems. Experience working within cross-functional teams Experience operating within a geographically dispersed team Experience managing communications with stakeholders and customers.
Preferred Qualifications
Excellent organizational and written communication skills, as well as project management planning and presentation skills. Demonstrated success leading teams/and or organizations to achieve a common goal. Experience operating within a geographically dispersed team Knowledge of Radar Systems. Experience with deliveries of software into a Cloud
