About the Role: The Plant Engineer is responsible for collaboratively developing, planning, and executing the plant capital strategy for the Georgetown, ON facility, a manufacturer of quality cracker products, to align with business unit priorities. This role also provides engineering support for the Kitchener, ON facility. The Plant Engineer leads cross-functional teams to manage and deliver capital projects, improve operational efficiency, ensure regulatory compliance, and support site-wide goals related to safety, product quality, and environmental sustainability across both locations. You’ll add value to this role by performing various functions including, but not limited to: Plan, scope, gain approval for, and implement projects aligned with the site's master capital plan and business priorities. Lead multiple projects, ensuring on-time and on-budget delivery. Manage assigned capital projects, including safety, scope of adherence, commissioning, qualification, verification, timeline, cash flow, and budget tracking. Follow Capital Initiative Management processes and ensure consistent communication with stakeholders and teams. Partner with the capital sourcing manager to develop and execute procurement strategies. Manage site technical drawings and document retention. Provide on-site troubleshooting and technical support for critical operational issues. Lead root cause failure analysis and implement engineered solutions. Work with site leadership, Quality, EHS, Supply Planning, R&D, Maintenance, Finance, and IT teams to deliver strategic and operational goals.
