Together, we’re improving health and improving lives. OmniSeq by Labcorp is looking for a Clinical Lab Associate to join our team in Buffalo, NY. Work Schedule: Monday, Tuesday & Thursday - Saturday 10:00am - 6:30pm Job Responsibilities: Receives and accessions laboratory testing material within various laboratory information management system(s) utilizing appropriate blood/body fluid precautions Stores laboratory samples maintaining the integrity of the physical/electronic inventory Answers telephones, routes callers, takes messages Obtains required release of information signatures from patients to obtain laboratory materials when required Packages laboratory material for delivery to referral testing laboratories in accordance with regulatory and HIPAA requirements Packages diagnostic specimens for return in accordance with regulatory and HIPAA requirements Assists in ordering, receiving, storing, distributing, and controlling laboratory supply inventories Maintains files and stores relevant laboratory documentation in accordance with regulatory standards for required storage periods. Participates in laboratory quality assurance activities Enhances professional growth and development by participating in educational programs, reading current literature and participating in in-service meetings and workshops. Performs other related duties as assigned or requested Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalency Preferred Qualifications: Associates degree in a healthcare discipline 1 or more years of experience in a clinical/research setting Additional Job Standards: Knowledge of medical/laboratory terminology Pay Range: 21.00-25.00 All job offers will be based on a candidate’s skills and prior relevant experience, applicable degrees/certifications, as well as internal equity and market data.
