JOB SUMMARY
The Resiliency Manager position is responsible for providing leadership and direction for the implementation of Georgia Power’s Distributed Energy Resources (DER) based resiliency programs. The resiliency programs provide an enhanced level of service and economic benefit for customers that desire greater mitigation from energy delivery risk by extracting value from these DER for the benefit of all retail customers. The regulated programs included under this position’s purview include the DER Customer Program Pilot, DER Colocation Program, DER Customer Owned Program, Large Customer Owned Resiliency (LCOR) Program, and Curtailable Load (CL) Program. The DER assets that this team is focused on through the DER Customer Program include dispatchable resources such as backup generators and battery energy storage solutions located on the customer's premises. This position will manage the customer journey through the development and implementation of DER projects with some of the Company’s largest and most influential customers. This position will also work with internal partners to educate and support providing solutions through the deployment of assets under the resiliency programs. Other important functions of this position will include meeting all regulatory requirements (i.e. filings, data requests, witness preparation, etc.), managing capital and O&M budgets, and serving as an advocate for the Company’s position on DER and resiliency issues to influential audiences, including large existing and prospective customers, industry groups, regulators, internal partners, and other stakeholder groups.
