AWS’ Infrastructure team is looking for a detail-oriented, experienced and professional Cluster Security Manager. You will have experience managing security of large critical infrastructure installations, ideally data centers. You will have professional experience managing people with varying skill sets, devising strategies, creating, tracking and controlling budgets, sponsoring projects, and driving improvements of our security readiness. You will report to the Multi-Cluster Security Manager responsible for your area. Key job responsibilities Key Job Responsibilities Your responsibilities include maintaining extensive knowledge of industry trends, security issues, and threats impacting Data Centers. Perform annual risk analysis covering crime, terrorism, workplace violence, and natural/man-made disasters. Provide leadership and best practices on security policy to AWS Data Center staff and contract security personnel. Serve as staff support to security management, conducting investigations of significant threats or asset loss. Liaise with Amazon, AWS, and external security organizations to ensure successful program implementation. Collaborate with Data Center Security Managers and regional operations personnel to maintain safe, secure environments. Educate stakeholders on emergency readiness, foster security awareness culture, conduct regular drills, and update plans annually. Deliver periodic performance and strategic roadmap briefings to AWS senior leaders. The ideal candidate is a confident, decisive, and innovative leader who communicates compelling outcomes, defines and enforces high standards, and thrives in ambiguity. Must deliver on customer data security tenets while balancing cost, efficiency, and operational friction. Strong written and verbal communication skills essential.
