About this role Company: BlackRock Financial Management, Inc. Job Title: Vice President Location: 50 Hudson Yards, New York, NY 10001 Job Duties: Develop and execute business strategy for the Strategic Capital Solutions group synthesizing industry data, trends and observations to drive informed decision-making that will continue to propel the success of the Financial Institutions Group (FIG) and BlackRock platforms. Support and execute high-leverage cross-functional initiatives that require a holistic understanding of industry trends and BlackRock’s platform. Drive execution of strategic relationships, partnerships, and investments with insurers that are aligned with BlackRock’s long-term objectives. Coordinate with key stakeholders (internal and external) as needed to quarterback projects and strategic transactions. Establish and maintain relationships with co-investors and track outreach data for all co-investment opportunities.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Financial Engineering, Accounting, Economics or a related field and five (5) years of experience in the job offered or as a AVP, Associate, Analyst or related role. Must have five (5) years of experience with: Domain expertise in insurance and insurance asset management; Business strategy development for capital solutions for insurers; Financial modeling and valuation concepts related to strategic investments and partnerships in insurance companies; Strategic transaction management, including coordinating cross-functional execution; Due diligence support for partnerships, co-investments, and insurer-related transactions; Relationship management with co-investors and institutional partners; Cross-functional collaboration across product, investment, risk, and distribution teams; Understanding of asset management platforms and business models; Knowledge of insurance industry capital structures and investment strategies; Data synthesis tools such as Excel and Capital IQ; Experience with the US and international life insurance and annuity markets, capital regimes, and regulation; and Experience in financial modeling, including modeling asset intensive reinsurance transactions. For New York, NY Only the salary range for this position is USD$210,000.00 - USD$300,000.00 . Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, and benefits including healthcare, leave benefits, and retirement benefits.
