Electric Operations is responsible for all aspects of PG&E's transmission operations, including planning, engineering, maintenance and construction, restoration and emergency response. Position Summary This is an IBEW Local 1245 represented classification, which has over 100 years of experience representing employees at PG&E. This job is subject to collective bargaining. Under the direction of an Electric Crew Leader, individuals will perform such duties as operating equipment such as earth-boring equipment, small pressure control equipment, small trenchers and other equipment of 80 lbs. or less. May work alone in performing such duties as truck driving, operating compressors, concrete saws, loading and unloading operations, Gas/electric hoist up to 15 HP . Perform clerical work associated with these duties. PG&E is providing the hourly rate that the company in good faith believes it might pay for this position at the time of the job posting. This position is subject to collectively bargained hourly wage rates and increases. The starting wage rate for this position is $52.42 per hour. This wage rate is specific to the locality of the job. The wage rate is based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, geographic location, collective bargaining agreements, and internal equity. Available positions located in the Central Valley in the following cities and may be subject to change due to business need: Stockton. This position is a DOT (Department of Transportation) covered classification and is subject to random drug and/or alcohol screenings Job Responsibilities • DOT-Operations/Maintenance AND Emergency • Use truck mounted compressor, operate jackhammers, spades, drills, calibrated equipment, etc. • Manual excavation of trenches using shovels, picks, and digging bars. • Perform the operation of a dump truck with a loader on the front. • When supporting project demand, driving will be necessary to support generation needs at any given time. • Loading and unloading heavy equipment and supplies. • Use of Class I Diesel/Electric/LPG Forklift, Class VII Diesel Gradeall Fork, Class III Electric Pallet Truck Operator. • Perform field paperwork for transmission and distribution crews, including but not limited to, processing of timecards and job cost reports; ordering, receiving and delivering material. Qualifications Minimum: • Must be at least 18 years of age. • Must possess a High School diploma, GED, or equivalent related work experience • Must possess a valid Class A California Driver's Permit by Day 1 of hire • Must possess a valid DMV Medical Card by Day 1 of hire • Ability to work in all types of weather extremes • Ability to drive safely in all weather and road conditions • Ability to work extended hours, nights, weekends, and holidays • Must be able to lift up to 90 pounds a minimum of one time a day • Must be able to wear company provided Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Desired: • General construction experience • SAP project component demand and reporting • Microsoft 365 product line with heavy Excel experience • Project and maintenance tag support • Knowledge of electric standards and specifications • Attention to detail and quality assurance • Demonstrated ability to work with others and follow directions • Current or past work experience with PG&E and/or Hiring Hall Pre-Employment Testing PG&E
