Summary Rivian is looking for Industrial Maintenance Technicians to support our plant operations in Normal, IL. As an Industrial Maintenance Technician I, you will have the opportunity to work on state-of-the-art equipment in one of the fastest growing industries in the country and make a true impact on growing the Electric Vehicle Industry. In addition, you will have the opportunity to receive training (OTJ), and mentorship from Journeymen technicians.

Complete on-the-job training, for career development Complete required tasks and final evaluation successfully Perform crisis and preventative maintenance Identify and source parts, supplies and repair items as necessary Perform maintenance as per industry standards May be required to setup and operate a lathe, drill press, grinder, and other metalworking tools to make and repair parts May perform welding tasks Comply with 5S and housekeeping standards Drive and participate in Continuous Improvement Use CMMS Utilize predictive maintenance Work in teams Follow all safety related policies, rules, regulations, technical instructions, and guidelines. We are hiring for all levels of Maintenance Technicians.  General requirements for the positions follow, but not all inclusive of all levels to technician.

Associates Degree required, must be technical based with an Industrial Focus ie Industrial Maintenance, Mechatronics, etc. Understand electrical, mechanical, fluid power and control systems. Ability to use basic hand tools and specialized tools as appropriate Industrial Maintenance Experience (Preferred) PLC programming experience (Preferred) Ability to alternate between sitting, standing, and walking 8-12 hours per day. Ability to climb steps and ladders to access equipment. Lifting/carrying (moving materials) up to 50 lbs., pushing/pulling with a force of up to 70 lbs. Manual dexterity to grasp and manipulate materials, tools, and equipment. Able to position one’s body to access in and around machines. (bending/squatting/stooping/kneeling/reaching below waist and above shoulder) Pay Disclosure The salary range for this role is $26 an hour for Illinois based applicants. This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. An employee’s position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, specific competencies, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, shift, and organizational needs. The successful candidate may be eligible for annual performance bonus.
