The Role
The 3D Print / Additive Technician will be responsible for the setup, operation, and maintenance of 3D printing systems. This position requires a blend of technical know-how, attention to detail, and a commitment to producing high-quality end products. Candidates must be willing to work swing/night shift.
Key Responsibilities
• Set up and operate 3D printers, ensuring correct calibration and settings for optimal print quality.
• Convert CAD files to STL format and prepare them for 3D printing, including slicing and support structure generation.
• Inspect printed components for defects and accuracy, making necessary adjustments to printer settings.
• Select, load, and manage printing materials, ensuring they meet specifications and are properly stored.
• Perform regular checks and routine maintenance on 3D printers to ensure their longevity and reliability.
• Maintain detailed records of print jobs, including settings, materials used, and any issues encountered.
• Clean and finish printed parts by trimming, sanding, or applying other finishing techniques.
• Work closely with engineers, designers, and other team members to fulfill project requirements.
• Troubleshoot any issues with the 3D printers or the printing process, taking corrective action as needed.
Required Qualifications
• High School diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training preferred.
• Minimum of 3 year experience in 3D printing or a related field.
• Proficiency in CAD software and slicing tools.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, Materials Science, or a related field.
• Experience with a variety of 3D printing processes (FDM, SLA/DLP, SLS, MJF, etc.).
• Knowledge of polymer and composite material properties, including specialty resins and engineering-grade filaments.
• Previous experience working in a regulated or ISO-certified lab/manufacturing setting.

• Available to work extended hours and weekends as needed
