MFG Functional Technician II, Amazon Leo

Key job responsibilities - Follow work instructions and safety procedures - Assemble and test with emphasis to detail, an assortment of LRUs, electrical-mechanical assemblies, avionics, or other complex aerospace builds - Participate in process improvements, maintain floor stock inventory - You will independently execute and prioritize work to meet company deliverables - Execute test procedures for component and system level testing maintenance - Champion safety requirements in all designated zones and work locations - Ensure lab equipment is maintained and calibrated - Supports some preventative maintenance activities on test equipment and data acquisition systems - Receive shipments and coordinate deliveries with recipients (Using pallet jacks, kit carts, etc) - Your work may include contributing to improving SOPs and safety procedures Additional Requirements: - Shift: Wed-Sat 6am-4:30pm - Willing to work overtime and weekends as needed. Shift will vary, depending on program needs. - Flexible working/commuting in between site locations Kirkland and Redmond, WA - Standing for long periods of time, climbing up and down ladders, bending, grasping, sitting, pulling, pushing, stooping, and stretching may be required to perform the functions of this position - Able to lift-up to 25lbs. unassisted Export Control Requirement: Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum. The starting pay for this role in Washington State is up to $33.50 / hour and employees are eligible for incremental raises based on tenure. A day in the life The MFG Assembly Technician II is responsible for the assembly of Amazon Leo satellites. You will work closely with engineering, test, quality and operations teams to deliver Amazon Leo production hardware to final integration. Your day will involve hands-on responsibilities such as mechanical assembly, avionics integration, rigging, harnessing connections, fiber optic splicing and testing, requiring attention to detail, precision and adaptability. You’ll ensure that every satellite build meets the highest standards of quality, workmanship, and safety, while maintaining strict timelines to support launch schedules.
