Job Summary
The Radiation Engineer will derive radiation environments and apply those environments to electronic parts selection and development of appropriate test plans and procedures. This position's internal job code is Systems Engineer. Our team is currently hiring for a Level 1 and 2.
Responsibilities
Derive radiation environments for specific mission profiles using CREME96, OMERE, SPENVIS or similar tools Evaluate customer radiation requirements for TID, Total Ionizing Dose and SEE, Single Event Effects Assist with evaluation of electronic parts for new and existing designs Develop test plans Assist with construction of test set ups Test harness design Coordinate test hardware procurement Coordinate with TID & SEE results Support Program, Product, and Systems engineering with results and analysis This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options. Security Clearance and Export Control Requirements This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement Topical knowledge and application of radiation environments for TID, Displacement Damage, SEE Topical knowledge of radiation effects on microelectronics Ability to read and analyze schematics This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship.
