Job Description
Lead geotechnical studies, analysis and design for medium to large-scale projects. Provide technical leadership in geotechnical design, including foundations, retaining structures, excavation/ERSS, slopes and underground works. Undertake and review geotechnical analysis using PLAXIS, GEO-STUDIO or equivalent software. Review / Prepare technical reports, calculations and design deliverables, and provide technical guidance to engineers. Coordinate with clients and multidisciplinary teams and provide technical solutions to complex geotechnical issues. Contribute to technical proposals, project planning and team development activities.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from a recognised university; Master's or PhD in Geotechnical Engineering is preferred. Minimum 8–10 years of relevant geotechnical engineering experience, preferably in a consulting environment. Strong experience in geotechnical analysis and design for infrastructure, rail, buildings or underground projects. Proficient in PLAXIS, GEO-STUDIO or equivalent geotechnical software. Good knowledge of Eurocode 7, Malaysian standards and relevant design requirements. Strong technical, analytical and problem-solving skills with sound engineering judgement. Good communication and interpersonal skills, with experience in multidisciplinary coordination. BEM Professional Engineer (Ir.) or eligibility for registration will be an advantage.
