Job Description
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Develop and implement category strategies across China and Asia for Integral Commodity categories, including hoses, cable tracks, wire harnesses, batteries, controllers, and related components. Develop policies and processes that increase supply chain efficiency while maintaining safety, quality, and continuity of supply. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify and maintain resources needed to establish and support a resilient and cost-effective regional supply chain. Interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and technical requirements to identify and qualify best-fit suppliers. Develop and implement strategies that improve visibility of supplier manufacturing pipelines and support continuity of supply to Terex manufacturing facilities. Establish, develop, and manage strategic relationships with key suppliers, including negotiating company-wide commercial agreements and contracts. Develop and implement pricing strategies and global pricing structures, including material indexing mechanisms appropriate to maintain cost competitiveness. Lead sourcing plans supporting footprint moves, supplier transitions, new product introductions, and engineering changes to ensure seamless material flow and production continuity. Support the Aftermarket Purchasing team with sourcing initiatives and strategic supplier planning. Evaluate category risks and develop mitigation strategies and contingency plans to minimize operational disruption. Drive continuous improvement, supplier development, and business simplification initiatives that support Terex's long-term success. Support cost reduction, value engineering, localization, and productivity initiatives across assigned categories. Monitor market trends, supplier capabilities, and industry developments to identify sourcing opportunities and risks.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Quality, Business, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement, supply chain management, sourcing, manufacturing, or a related field. Demonstrated success in supplier negotiations and commercial management. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Fluency in both Mandarin Chinese and English, written and spoken.
Preferred Qualifications
Design, engineering, or quality background with a desire to expand into commercial and strategic sourcing responsibilities; or procurement/sourcing experience focused on direct materials. Experience within Integral Commodity categories such as wire harnesses, batteries, controllers, cable systems, hoses, electromechanical components, or related industrial products. Experience working with global suppliers within a manufacturing environment. Strong procurement and strategic sourcing expertise for direct materials. Understanding of Make-versus-Buy analysis and sourcing strategies. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic, and high-pressure environment. Self-motivated and entrepreneurial, with the ability to work independently and drive results. Strong project management skills with experience leading cross-functional and global initiatives. Proven supplier management and negotiation skills, with the ability to achieve outcomes that align with business objectives while maintaining strong supplier relationships. Technical aptitude and the ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation. Advanced analytical capabilities and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
Travel Requirements
Must be willing and able to travel domestically and internationally. Travel is estimated at approximately 30% and may increase to 50% during supplier assessments, audits, sourcing projects, supplier development activities,
