POSITION

SUMMARY : The Quality Technician is responsible for inspecting and verifying manufactured products to ensure they meet customer specifications, quality standards, and internal requirements. This role performs final product acceptance, validates recorded measurement data, and ensures all required inspection documentation and data packets are complete and accurate prior to customer release. The Quality Technician works closely with Engineering and Manufacturing to ensure quality is built into processes and products. ESSENTIAL FUNCTONS: A qualified individual with a disability must be able to perform the essential functions of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation. Perform inspection and testing of manufactured parts to determine product acceptance or rejection. Execute final inspection and provide final acceptance of product prior to shipment. Accurately record, verify, and report inspection results and measurement data. Prepare and maintain customer inspection data packets and quality records. Work collaboratively with Engineering and Manufacturing to ensure quality requirements are clearly understood and met. Read and interpret optical and traditional engineering drawings and specifications. Follow detailed work instructions, procedures, and inspection plans. Conduct optical testing as required by customer or internal specifications. Maintain organization of inspection activities and make decisions within the scope of assigned authority. Support compliance with ISO standards and internal quality system requirements. Transport finished products to the final inspection area as required. Perform other related duties as assigned. WORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Works in a manufacturing and inspection environment. Moderate walking, standing, stooping, bending, kneeling, and reaching required. Occasional lifting and carrying of up to 50 pounds. Operates tools, equipment, and machinery in accordance with company policies and procedures. Required to maintain a clean and safe work area. Must follow established safety procedures. Responsible for correcting unsafe conditions when possible and reporting hazards to management or the Safety Committee immediately. Travel may be required.

POSITION

REQUIREMENTS: Minimum of Three (3) years of experience in a quality, inspection, metrology, similar manufacturing role, or equivalent experience. Strong understanding of quality systems and standards, including ISO and internal quality procedures. Experience working with optical components and precision-manufactured parts preferred. Strong attention to detail, organization, and documentation skills. Ability to work independently and make sound decisions within defined responsibilities. Ability to use relevant computer applications: MS Office, MS Outlook. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to read and understand both optical and traditional blueprints.
