Join us and transform the lives of patients while transforming your career. SENIOR MANAGER, PORTFOLIO ANALYTICS & STRATEGY What you will do Let’s do this. Let’s change the world. In this vital role you will lead portfolio analysis, performance tracking, and benchmarking, while owning Amgen’s Probability of Technical and Regulatory Success (PTRS) process across the R&D portfolio. You will serve as a strategic thought partner to Product Teams and Portfolio Governance, facilitating structured assessments with cross-functional experts and translating development risks, evidence, and uncertainty into decision-ready options. You will also oversee technology initiatives that enable PTRS and broader portfolio decision support, working closely with the Technology organization, Product Teams, Research organization, and cross-functional partners.

Key Responsibilities

PTRS strategy, governance, tools & technology Own the PTRS methodology, standards, guardrails, governance, and integration with portfolio and business-case processes. Oversee development of new PTRS and risk-assessment tools with the Technology organization and functional experts, including data products, workflows, dashboards, and decision-support capabilities Product Team partnership & decision support Partner with Product Teams to assess risk across alternative target product profiles, indication and population choices, biomarker strategies, and clinical development options. Help teams articulate trade-offs among risk, value, timing, cost, and resource demand Portfolio reviews, performance, & benchmarking Support portfolio reviews, prioritization, and investment decisions through portfolio-level trade-off analysis. Lead cross-functional portfolio performance tracking and industry benchmark participation Executive insights & calibration Deliver decision-ready insights on portfolio risk, value, performance, and key trade-offs. Maintain consistency across PTRS, valuation, planning, and governance assumptions, and use historical outcomes to calibrate the approach over time. Basic Qualifications

Doctorate degree and 2 years of experience in R&D portfolio management, portfolio analytics, life sciences or management consulting, or leading decision analysis initiatives. OR Master’s degree and 4 years of experience in R&D portfolio management, portfolio analytics, life sciences or management consulting, or leading decision analysis initiatives. OR Bachelor’s degree and 6 years of experience in R&D portfolio management, portfolio analytics, life sciences or management consulting, or leading decision analysis initiatives. OR Associate’s degree and 10 years of experience in R&D portfolio
