The impact you’ll make

At Lam, as a Strategic Commodity Manager, you play a crucial role in managing industry suppliers. You’ll develop and implement commodity strategies, align development deliverables, benchmark suppliers, negotiate agreements, and resolve delivery, cost, and production challenges. Navigating a highly visible and dynamic environment, your strategic expertise in implementing initiatives will support commodity availability, quality, and cost to maintain Lam's reliability and competitive edge. What you’ll do

Develop, align, and implement commodity strategy.

Understand the commodity landscape in order to forecast industry trends and gauge emerging competitive forces.

Negotiate, manage, and maintain supplier agreements that provide optimal terms. Direct new supplier engagement and/or disengagement requirements to the Lam supply base. Collaborate across the Lam organization to ensure business objectives are met. Identify potential supply issues and communicate findings to senior leaders. Drive resolution of systemic supply chain issues affecting cost, delivery, quality, service, and development support. Optimize supply chain/supplier performance through cost, capacity scenario analysis, and benchmarking. Excellent analytical and written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate cross-functionally and with various levels of the organization, including executive level. Influence skills: experienced communicator with the ability to communicate critial thinking ideas and concepts.

Capable of developing and delivering compelling arguments and presentations Ability to write reports, business correspondence and business processes.

Who we’re looking for

Bachelor's degree in Business or a technical field listed herein (but not limited to) the following: Electrical Engineering or Industrial Engineering, with 12 years of related experience; or 8 years and a Master's degree; or 5 years and a PhD; or equivalent experience. 12 years of experience in a Supply Chain, Operations, or production/planning environment. Preferably in the Semiconductor industry. Ability to understand Power Supply technical documents (i.e., specifications/schematics/drawings) and function within semiconductor manufacturing tools. Exceptional interpersonal relationship skills and professional level of emotional intelligence necessary to achieve the desired objective deliverables. Proven experience of strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a history of successful resolution.
