We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Business Analyst to join our Capital Markets Technology team. The successful candidate will act as a crucial link between business stakeholders and technical teams, translating complex business requirements into clear, actionable technical specifications. Key Responsibilities • Requirements Gathering: Conduct detailed elicitation sessions with Business and Operations stakeholders to understand their needs, challenges, and objectives. • Documentation: Translate business requirements into comprehensive and well-structured documentation, including Business Requirements Documents (BRDs), Functional Specification Documents (FSDs), user stories, use cases, and process flows. • Analysis and Design: Analyze existing systems and processes, identify gaps, and propose solutions that align with business strategy and technical capabilities. Participate in the design of new features and functionalities. • Stakeholder Communication: Facilitate effective communication between business users and technical development teams, ensuring mutual understanding and alignment throughout the project lifecycle. • Testing Support: Collaborate with quality assurance (QA) teams to define test strategies, review test cases, and assist in user acceptance testing (UAT) to ensure solutions meet business requirements. • Project Lifecycle Participation: Contribute to various phases of the software development lifecycle (SDLC), from initial concept through deployment and post-implementation support. • Problem Solving: Investigate and analyze production issues, collaborating with development and support teams to identify root causes and implement solutions. • Market Research: Stay informed about industry trends, regulatory changes, and new technologies impacting capital markets and derivatives. Qualifications • Education: Bachelor’s degree in finance, Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field. • Experience: 7-10 years of experience as a Business Analyst, preferably within the financial services industry, with a focus on capital markets. • Domain Knowledge: Solid understanding of capital markets products. • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen eye for detail. • Technical Acumen: Ability to understand technical concepts and communicate effectively with development teams. • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex information to both technical and non-technical audiences. • Methodologies: Familiarity with Agile and Waterfall project methodologies. • Tools: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio) and experience with requirements management tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence, Azure DevOps).
Preferred Qualifications
(A Plus) • Direct experience working with derivatives products (e.g., options, futures, swaps) and associated business processes (pricing, risk, lifecycle management). • Knowledge of regulatory requirements impacting capital markets (e.g., MiFID II, Dodd-Frank, EMIR). • Experience with data analysis tools (e.g., SQL, Python, Tableau). • Certifications such as CBAP, CFA, or FRM.
