The Marketplace Planning team is responsible for driving financial and business performance across Target Plus, through data-driven planning, forecasting, and optimization of key metrics such as GMV, revenue, traffic, and conversion.
Role
Overview The Associate Planner – Partner Incentive Strategy & Governance supports the planning, tracking, and governance of partner incentive programs across Target Plus. This role works closely with Marketplace Planning, Partner Management, Finance, and other cross-functional teams to manage incentive scorecards, track goal performance, support calculation accuracy, document governance routines, and provide transparency into incentive performance and business impact.
Key Responsibilities
1. Incentive Planning & Performance Tracking Own development and maintenance of partner incentive scorecards and performance views. Track performance against incentive goals and highlight risks, opportunities, and exceptions. Assist in maintaining incentive calculation logic, metric definitions, and supporting documentation. 2. Incentive Governance & Accuracy Monitor incentive performance and support regular QA routines to improve calculation accuracy. Manage documentation for metric refreshes, approvals, exceptions, and sign-off processes. Identify drivers of variance, calculation discrepancies, and process gaps requiring review or escalation. 3. Cross-Functional Collaboration Partner with Partner Management, Services, Finance, and other cross-functional teams to align on incentive priorities, metrics, and timelines. Support execution of incentive-related initiatives aimed at driving partner performance, GMV, revenue, and business growth. Communicate incentive performance, risks, exceptions, and recommendations effectively to stakeholders. 4. Planning Process Excellence Identify opportunities to automate incentive inputs, consolidate calculations, and reduce manual effort. Ensure data accuracy, consistency, documentation, and auditability across incentive scorecards, reports, and governance tools.
About You
Bachelor’s degree. 3–5 years of experience in business planning, financial analysis, sales operations, marketplace operations, governance, or analytics. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in Excel; Ability to work with large datasets and translate data into clear performance insights. Strong communication and stakeholder management skills. High attention to detail with a structured approach to governance, QA, and process management. Demonstrates ownership, curiosity, and a bias for action.
