EY GDS –Senior Oracle DBA / OCI Administrator Position Over the last decade, cloud adoption and database modernization have become critical enablers for building scalable, secure, and resilient enterprise platforms globally. To support this rapidly evolving and fast paced cloud transformation landscape, we leverage Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) along with industry best practices in database administration, automation, and cloud architecture to deliver reliable, high performance, and cost effective solutions to our clients. As part of our global EY GDS team, you will work on enterprise scale Oracle database and OCI initiatives, supporting mission critical applications across on premises and cloud environments. You will be involved in solving complex technical challenges, driving large scale database migrations, and contributing to the development of next generation cloud and database platforms. The opportunity We are offering you a demanding role where you will work on mission critical enterprise database platforms and cloud transformation initiatives. You will leverage your expertise in Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), database administration, and cloud migration to design, migrate, and manage highly available and secure database solutions. This position includes the opportunity to collaborate with cross functional teams and supporting large scale cloud adoption. Your Key Responsibilities
Database administration, solution design, database migration, and manageability for mission critical enterprise applications across data center and cloud deployments. Hands on experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), including database provisioning, maintenance, and operational support. Perform core database activities such as patching, troubleshooting, performance optimization, and maintenance. Lead and support end to end Oracle application and database migrations from on premises environments to OCI. Execute end to end database migrations, including:
Virtual network design Routing rules Security configuration Compute instance creation Database deployment and configuration
Provide production support and upgrades for Oracle databases (12c, 18c, 19c), including cross‑platform migrations. Perform Oracle database upgrades from 9i, 10g, and 11g to 12c, 18c, and 19c across multiple platforms. Work with additional database technologies such as MS SQL Server, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB. Collaborate closely with Cloud Infrastructure teams to identify and implement efficient, scalable, and secure cloud-based solutions. Demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills, effectively collaborating with teams across geographies. Flexibility to work independently or as part of a global delivery team to meet project objectives and timelines. Support proof of concepts, architectural design sessions, and solution reviews using Oracle Cloud best practices. Contribute to automation and optimization initiatives, leveraging DevOps tools where applicable.

To qualify for the role, you must have
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in a related technology field such as Computer Science, Engineering, MCA, or equivalent. 3 to 7 years of relevant experience in architecting, designing, implementing, and/or supporting highly distributed and enterprise-scale applications.
