About this role
Reporting to the Director Food Safety Quality and Regulatory Affairs, you will lead all food safety and quality programs within the plant to ensure products meet regulatory, customer, and company requirements. You will oversee quality systems, food safety compliance, employee training, customer complaint resolution, and continuous improvement initiatives. As a member of the plant leadership team, you will collaborate closely with Operations, Maintenance, Sales, and Research & Development to strengthen food safety ownership, drive quality performance, and support business objectives . A Taste of Your Responsibilities Lead plant food safety and quality programs to ensure compliance with company and regulatory requirements. Promote adherence to good manufacturing practices and food safety standards across the facility. Deliver food safety and quality training programs and maintain annual training compliance. Partner with Operations and Maintenance to strengthen food safety and quality ownership on the production floor. Develop and coach quality team members while supporting a culture of continuous improvement. Monitor food safety and quality metrics and lead initiatives to improve plant performance. Investigate quality concerns and consumer complaints, implementing corrective and preventive actions as needed. Ensure compliance with regulatory agencies and serve as the primary contact during inspections and audits. Maintain key quality systems, including Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points, Safe Quality Food certification, environmental monitoring, recall readiness, and pest control programs. Collaborate with Operations, Sales, and Research & Development to resolve quality issues and support new product launches. Lead the Food Safety & Quality pillar within the Conagra Performance System and drive continuous improvement efforts. Ingredients Required for Your Success Bachelor's degree in Biology , Food Science, or a related field preferred Equivalent combination of education and relevant experience may be considered. 5 or more years of quality assurance leadership experience in food manufacturing or a related industry. Experience with canning and thermal processing preferred Strong communication and presentation skills . Experience training, coaching, and developing employees. Knowledge of food safety regulations, auditing practices, sanitation programs, and Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points requirements. Experience with root cause analysis, corrective actions, and continuous improvement initiatives. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Proven success building collaborative partnerships across multiple functions.
