Working across AIG’s underwriting businesses, CUO provides technical expertise , strategic direction, risk insights, and capability development that support disciplined underwriting, informed decision-making, and profitable growth.     As a CUO Analyst, you will work alongside underwriting and business professionals and gain hands-on experience supporting initiatives that strengthen AIG’s underwriting organization. Depending on your placement, you will gain experience in one of the following areas within the Commercial Underwriting Office:     Risk Engineering   Support risk assessments to identify and evaluate operational, safety, property, and liability exposures.   Analyze data, industry trends, and potential loss drivers to support risk evaluation and mitigation strategies.   Partner with underwriters and clients to provide technical insights that inform risk selection and improve risk quality.   Support initiatives focused on loss prevention, resilience, and business continuity.     CUO Casualty   Support underwriting analysis, risk assessments, and portfolio reviews across Casualty businesses.   Analyze portfolio performance, loss trends, market developments, and emerging risks to inform underwriting decisions.   Partner with underwriting teams and business stakeholders on growth, profitability, and portfolio strategies.   Support underwriting guidelines, governance, and best practices that promote underwriting excellence.     Training & Development   Support the design and delivery of learning programs that build technical underwriting, business, and leadership capabilities.   Assist with onboarding and development initiatives for underwriting professionals, including Early Career talent.   Partner
