The Excavation Division designs and manufactures tracked and wheeled excavators ranging from 11 to 90 metric tons. Learn more about the  Caterpillar Experience .  This position leads the design, development, production and consultation on various internal and external communications materials and media. Additionally, it provides leadership for communications teams that support the  Excavation Division  and China Operations Division within our  Construction Industries segment.

Strategy Communications – Collaborate with division leadership to create communications plans and deliverables that are aligned to the enterprise, segment and division strategy and related initiatives: Develop and implement an annual internal and external communications strategy supporting the business Consult with senior leaders, managers and employees on messaging using the power of words, images, sounds and multi-media Advise on communication formats to ensure clarity and accuracy of messaging Own internal employee communications including strategy, channels, tools and messaging Partner with division leaders to drive and deploy change management communications, ensuring employees and stakeholders are informed, engaged, and aligned throughout key transformation initiatives Executive Communications – Serve as a strategic communications advisor to the division’s senior vice president Develop and implement a communications strategy to establish the senior vice president’s voice to their employees and to promote the division across the enterprise Create effective communication strategies to be used across a variety of audiences including employees, dealers and external audiences Contributes to the overall strategic business goals and plans of the division Deliverables to Include – Communications strategies and plans; key message development; presentations for internal and external audiences; video scripts; internal articles; social media content What You Will Have (Basic Skills Required):   Organizational Communications: Significant experience leading global communications efforts with an emphasis on external communications (i.e. media relations, social media, tech communications, branding) Strategic Thinking and Planning: Knowledge of the importance of "big picture" thinking and planning; ability to apply organizational acumen and competitiveness to identify and maintain focus on key success factors for the organization.
