Together, we’re improving health and improving lives. Labcorp is seeking a Lab Assistant t o join our team in Baltimore, MD ! Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 1st shift Job Responsibilities: Laboratory Equipment Schedule, track and perform periodic laboratory equipment maintenance. Maintain equipment and laboratory log records. Manage assigned laboratory contracts and maintain associated records, specifically hazardous waste. Troubleshoot equipment problems and malfunctions with manufacturers and facilitate repairs. Assist with Quality Assurance investigations and documentation according to department-specific SOP’s. Facilities Manage assigned administrative contracts and maintain associated records. Schedule service and serve as point of contact for assigned onsite vendors and contractors. Monitor and answer PGDx by Labcorp phone and call boxes. General Laborator y Custom project assistance as necessary. Collaborate on Quality Assurance and Finance initiatives as it pertains to job function. Respond to off-hours cold storage alarms or other emergencies on a rotational basis.

Associates degree in biology, chemistry, facilities management, or related field 1 or more years of experience in a CLIA or GMP laboratory setting 1 or more years of pipetting experience Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in biology, chemistry, facilities management, or related field Additional Job standards: Familiarity with BSL-2 Universal Laboratory Precautions, laboratory safety and quality standards Pay Range: $24 - $32/hr All job offers will be based on a candidate’s skills and prior relevant experience, applicable degrees/certifications, as well as internal equity and market data.
