Senior Lead Toxicologist

Where You’ll Make a Difference Provide toxicology support for taste (flavor) ingredients, products, and related business areas. Conduct toxicology and safety assessments for flavor ingredients across global markets. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including R&D, Regulatory, Quality, Commercial, and Creative functions. Design and coordinate toxicology testing strategies to support regulatory approvals and new ingredient registrations. Develop scientific approaches to support and defend ingredients and products across global regions. Monitor toxicology studies to ensure compliance with applicable testing guidelines, regulatory requirements, and best practices. Review toxicity study reports and evaluate scientific data to ensure accurate, evidence-based conclusions. Translate complex toxicological findings into clear recommendations for scientific, regulatory, commercial, and customer audiences. Represent the organization with industry associations, regulatory agencies, and external stakeholders while providing support for customer toxicology inquiries. What Makes You the Right Fit PhD or MSc in Toxicology, Pharmacology, or a related scientific discipline. Professional certifications such as DABT, ERT, or equivalent toxicology credentials are highly valued. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with fluency in English. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary teams. Demonstrated organizational, prioritization, and project management capabilities. Broad experience in toxicology, including repeat-dose, genotoxicity, and reproductive/developmental toxicity studies. Knowledge of food, flavor, fragrance, scent, or related consumer product industries. Familiarity with global flavor regulations and guidelines, including FDA, FEMA, EU, and CODEX frameworks. Expertise in computational toxicology, risk assessment methodologies, and flavor and fragrance chemistry. How Would You Stand Out? Experience supporting flavor, food, fragrance, or consumer product industries, with a solid understanding of global regulatory requirements and ingredient safety assessments. Proven ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams, communicate complex scientific information to diverse audiences, and build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
