About this role
C.H. Robinson is seeking a Compliance Analyst to strengthen import compliance, protect our clients’ supply chains, and keep critical automotive operations moving across the United States and Canada. In this role, you will serve as a trusted on-site resource for an automotive client, ensuring import transactions are accurate, compliant, and resolved efficiently. You will review customs documentation, classifications, valuations, trade programs, and regulatory requirements while partnering with brokers and internal teams to support smooth operations. Work hours are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. CST (8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. PST) on Saturdays and Sundays and 1:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. CST (11:30 a.m. – 8:30 p.m. PST) on Thursday, Friday, and Monday. Responsibilities
Support on-site automotive client operations and serve as a trusted resource for North American import compliance Manage daily trade compliance activities in accordance with U.S. and Canadian import regulations, client procedures, and company policies Review commercial documentation, purchase orders, and customs entry data to ensure accuracy, completeness, and regulatory compliance Partner with designated customs brokers to support import operations, customs clearance, and timely issue resolution Validate Right to Make Entry documentation, HTS classifications, customs valuation, and Country of Origin determinations Assess AD/CVD applicability, Free Trade Agreement eligibility, Partner Government Agency requirements, and other import requirements Review compliance with U.S. trade remedies and special tariff programs, including Sections 301, 232, and 122 Coordinate post-entry corrections and collaborate with internal teams, customs brokers, and external partners to resolve compliance issues Support audits, compliance reviews, reporting, and continuous improvement initiatives that strengthen accountability and operational excellence Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree Minimum of 2 years of experience in custom/import compliance or related field Provide evening and weekend coverage when required to support client and business operations Preferred Qualifications: Extensive Knowledge of U.S. Customs entry and import operation processes and partner government agency regulations Strong communication, prioritization, and multi-tasking skills Proven critical-thinking and problem-solving skills to adapt to ever-changing tasks and customer needs High level of attention to detail Ability to work and communicate across the branch network Licensed Custom Broker (LCB) or similar Values a diverse and inclusive work environment We will review applications for this role on an ongoing basis and encourage all interested candidates to apply at their earliest convenience.
Compensation
