Position
Overview The Senior Director, Global Procurement & Supplier Management, Asia is a key senior leader within Insulet’s Global Procurement organization. Reporting to the Group VP, Chief Procurement Officer this individual is responsible for executing global supply management strategies across Insulet’s supplier base in China and Southeast Asia, ensuring rigorous delivery of capacity, cost, quality, service, and technical execution. This role leads a multi‑functional team consisting of Project Engineering, Site Supplier Engineering, Direct Procurement, and Indirect Procurement working collectively to drive all supplier related execution in the region. The Senior Director ensures strong regional operational linkage to global category strategies, delivers resilient and scalable supplier performance, and supports manufacturing sites through disciplined project and supplier execution. As Insulet continues to scale globally, the scope of this role may expand to additional regions in alignment with business needs while maintaining its core accountability for execution excellence. The ideal candidate has significant exposure to the China supplier network and broader Asia manufacturing environment, with deep experience in technical project execution, engineered components, supplier development, and leading high-performance teams across diverse cultures and geographies.
Responsibilities
Leadership & Team Development − Lead, develop, and coach regional teams across China and Southeast Asia to deliver all supplier-facing execution activities. − Build organizational capability across technical, commercial, and program management disciplines, ensuring a culture of rigor, accountability, and continuous improvement. − Guide multi-functional teams through complex engineering, supplier, and operational challenges. − Build and sustain a high‑performance regional organization, including succession planning and development of future leaders to support long‑term scalability. Execution of Global Category Strategies − Translate global category strategies into robust, regionally executable plans while maintaining alignment with cross-functional leadership. − Drive supplier consolidation and partnership models to renegotiate legacy agreements, improve competitiveness, and strengthen resilience. − Ensure strong program execution discipline, including technical feasibility, project engineering rigor, and structured supplier engagement. − Drive consistent delivery of cost, quality, capacity, and service expectations established at the global level. Supplier Management & Operational Execution − Lead direct supplier execution activities across China and Southeast Asia, maintaining senior-level relationships with key suppliers. − Oversee execution across tooling, molding, stamping, springs, automation, and other engineered component categories. − Lead supplier development programs using Lean, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement frameworks to deliver measurable savings and operational excellence. − Balance long-term program work with near-term site-facing support, ensuring seamless alignment with Operations and Manufacturing needs. −
