About Redwood Materials
Redwood is localizing a global battery supply chain that seamlessly integrates recovery, reuse, and recycling — keeping critical minerals in circulation and driving the energy transition. Founded in 2017, we’re delivering low-cost and large-scale energy storage and producing battery materials in the U.S. for the first time, all from batteries we already have.
Global Supply Analyst
Redwood Materials is looking for a Global Supply Analyst to support the purchasing of indirect goods and services, with a focus on equipment rentals, contract labor and staffing, and facilities and MRO. This person will build the spend visibility, supplier agreements, and buying process behind these categories across all Redwood sites, working closely with construction, facilities, operations, EHS, HR, legal, and finance.
Responsibilities will include: · Collect, clean, and analyze historical and forecasted indirect spend by category, site, and supplier, maintaining that view as the source of truth · Support development of category strategies for rentals, contract labor, and facilities and MRO, including supplier landscape, cost drivers, and consolidation opportunities · Run sourcing events end to end: issue RFx packages, level and clarify supplier quotes, build total cost of ownership comparisons, and recommend award · Support commercial negotiations and work with legal and finance to get master agreements, rate cards, and rental terms executed · Track the rental fleet across sites, including what is on rent, duration, and rate, and build rent-versus-buy analysis where long-term rentals no longer make sense · Benchmark contingent labor rate cards, standardize job classifications, and audit agency invoices against agreed rates, markups, and approved headcount · Load preferred suppliers, catalogs, and pricing into the purchasing workflow so requesters have a compliant default and off-contract buying drops · Establish supplier performance metrics and report on delivery, pricing compliance, and contract compliance for assigned categories · Resolve day-to-day supplier issues, including late deliveries, invoice and PO discrepancies, and service quality problems · Publish a monthly indirect spend and savings report, including baseline, realized savings, price changes, and open risks · Document category playbooks and standard terms so new sites can launch with an established supplier list
Desired Qualifications: · Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or Finance preferred, or equivalent experience · 2 to 5 years in procurement, sourcing, category
