Job Description
This position is part of the U.S. Bancorp Asset Management Sales Enablement team and plays a critical part in supporting business development officers (BDOs) and relationship managers (RMs) in the acquisition and retention of institutional investment management business. The position is primarily responsible for developing high-quality, customized responses to requests for proposals (RFPs), requests for information (RFIs), and other client-facing materials under tight deadlines. Additional responsibilities include creating presentations, due diligence materials, and other ad hoc documents for prospective and existing clients. The successful candidate is a strong writer, project manager, and collaborator who can effectively partner with BDOs, RMs, subject matter experts, and cross-functional teams across U.S. Bank. This individual must be able to manage multiple projects independently, adhere to detailed client specifications, and deliver high-quality work within turnaround times ranging from one day to a few weeks. The role also contributes to broader sales enablement and strategic business development initiatives across the firm.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Communications, English, Journalism, Marketing or related field, or equivalent work experience Two to three years of business writing experience in sales support, proposal generation, marketing, communications, publishing or print media Preferred Skills/Experience Financial services experience, preferably within asset management, investment management, or institutional investing. Ability to quickly develop an understanding of complex products, investment strategies, and technical concepts and communicate them clearly and accurately. Strong interviewing and communication skills, with the ability to engage subject matter experts and gather information needed to address client requirements. Experience developing customized proposals, presentations, and other sales support materials. Proficiency with proposal management platforms and the ability to quickly learn and adapt to new technologies and tools. Advanced skills in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Excellent organizational and project management skills, with a strong eye for detail, formatting, and presentation quality. Proven ability to prioritize competing deadlines, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and perform effectively in a fast-paced environment. Collaborative mindset with the ability to build strong working relationships across teams while maintaining ownership and accountability for deliverables. The role offers a hybrid/flexible schedule, which means there's an in-office expectation of 3 or more days per week and the flexibility to work outside the office location for the other days.
