About this Role: We are seeking an Analytics consultant to join our Financial Crimes Analytics team . This role is critical in supporting investigative units such as Intelligence and Special Operations by identifying and extracting relevant data from a vast metadata repository. The ideal candidate will have strong SQL expertise, deep understanding of customer and transaction data, and an investigative mindset. In this Role, You Will: Write and optimize complex SQL scripts involving multiple table joins, CTEs, temporary tables, CASE statements, RANK, QUALIFY clauses, index creation, and table design. Navigate large metadata portals to identify relevant tables and columns for financial crime investigations. Collaborate with Financial Crimes teams (Intel, Special Ops) to understand data needs and deliver outputs per JIRA descriptions. Create and maintain documentation of data sources, table structures, and data lineage. Ensure data accuracy and completeness in all outputs. Apply domain knowledge in retail and corporate banking to contextualize findings. Demonstrate proactive problem-solving and creative thinking in ambiguous scenarios. Communicate findings effectively through clear verbal and written communication.
Required Qualifications
Education: B.Tech in CSE or IT; MBA in Finance is a plus. Other qualifications acceptable with strong retail banking and SQL experience. 2+ years of experience in data analysis with strong SQL focus. Extensive Power BI experience with the ability to develop dashboards, visualizations, and analytical reporting solutions using data from enterprise-scale databases and data warehouses. Proven experience working with large-scale banking or financial services data environments, including customer, account, transaction, payment, and related operational datasets. Strong experience querying and analyzing data from enterprise data warehouses, data marts, or centralized analytics platforms containing high-volume structured data. Advanced SQL skills, including complex joints, CTEs, performance optimization, data profiling, and data validation. Experience working with transactions, customer, and account-level data to support analytics, investigations, risk management, compliance, financial crimes, fraud, or operational reporting functions.
