Role
Summary As an Analyst III in Category Insights & Analytics, this role is responsible for supporting Category Leadership through the development of data-driven insights, category reviews, and analytical recommendations across Kraft Heinz brands, categories, and customer teams. The role acts as an insights partner, translating shopper behavior, consumer trends, category performance, competitive dynamics, and market data into actionable business recommendations that support assortment, shelving, innovation, performance tracking, and category growth strategies. This position collaborates closely with Category Leadership, Sales, Omni, Business Unit Strategy, Shopper Insights, and other cross-functional teams to deliver category-centric solutions that create mutual value and strengthen Kraft Heinz's position as a trusted category advisor.
Key Responsibilities
Develop Category Review and Insights Decks: Build engaging, data-driven category review decks and business presentations using actionable insights to support customer reviews, category planning, and internal business decision-making. Data Analysis and Interpretation: Analyze syndicated, customer, shopper, competitive, and internal data sources, including Circana, Nielsen, Kantar, Numerator, and in-house tools, to identify category trends, shopper behavior patterns, competitive dynamics, business risks, and growth opportunities. Understanding category drivers: Develop a deep understanding of a category performance by uncovering the “why” behind the numbers, connecting trends to business drivers, and proactively translating analysis into insights. Insight Storytelling: Translate complex data into clear, compelling, and actionable stories that influence decision-making across Category Leadership, Sales, Strategy, Insights, and other cross-functional teams. Microsoft and Visualization Tool Proficiency: Leverage PowerPoint, Excel, Power BI, and other analytical and visualization tools to create impactful, insight-led outputs and business recommendations. Support Category Growth Initiatives: Provide analytical support for assortment, shelving, innovation, pricing, merchandising, sales performance, and category growth initiatives. Quality and Timely Delivery: Ensure accurate, high-quality, and timely delivery of category review decks, reporting, and analytical outputs across assigned customers, categories, and business priorities. Value-Added Insights: Identify opportunities to provide proactive recommendations by analyzing emerging trends, category performance, shopper behavior, competitive dynamics, assortment gaps, and growth opportunities, while supporting post-review action tracking and follow-up activities.
Requirements
5-8 years of experience in Category Management, Category Insights, Shopper Insights, Retail Analytics, Space Planning, or a related analytics role. Intermediate-level experience with syndicated, shopper, and retail data sources such as Circana, Nielsen, Kantar, SymphonyAI, or similar platforms. Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel, with working knowledge of Power BI or other data visualization tools. Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail, with the ability to identify trends, opportunities, and business risks from data.
