YOUR IMPACT
OpenText is seeking a transformational technology executive to serve as Vice President, Global Data Center Portfolio & Transformation.
This leader will be the single accountable executive for the strategy, optimization, and transformation of OpenText's global data center portfolio, leading a multi-year effort to significantly reduce the physical footprint while creating a modern infrastructure foundation for the future.
The mandate includes transforming the current portfolio of approximately 63 data center sites toward a future-state footprint of approximately 10 strategic locations, while determining the optimal placement of workloads across retained facilities, colocation environments, and hyperscale cloud platforms.
The transformation will balance two complementary strategies
• Consolidate and modernize approximately 50% of workloads into a smaller, standardized physical estate.
• Migrate approximately 50% of workloads toward hyperscaler platforms, using rehosting, replatforming, containerization, modernization, or retirement based on workload complexity, criticality, economics, security, regulatory requirements, and change tolerance.
The VP will partner closely with Infrastructure, Enterprise Architecture, Product Engineering, Security, Finance, Procurement, Corporate Development, Facilities, and other executive stakeholders.
