Summary The On Wing Support Test Technician Level 3 directs engine prep/de‑prep, inspection, troubleshooting, and test operations for GE/CFM commercial engines. You will execute work in accordance with Standard Work, Repair Station Manuals, and all applicable technical references supporting safe, compliant, and high‑quality test outcomes. This role mentors’ others, drives continuous improvement, and supports throttle/test operations. Check us out! https://www.geaerospace.com/commercial/services/on-wing-support Job Description Essential Responsibilities : Responsible for Return to Service : review work package, verify configuration and ai rworthiness , and certify per Repair Station ops specs and limitations . Responsible for leading engine test execution and resolve any testing issues by driving root cause corrective action and problem-solving efforts following the appropriate problem-solving tool , Repair Station Manuals, and GE P olicies & P rocedures. Able to lead process improvement opportunities involving cross-functional teams including EHS, quality, engineering, planning, and materials to support operational initiatives, achieve strategic business objectives, and support constant improvement site-wide. Mentors others to identify and apply, in any situation, the appropriate technical references such as Aircraft Maintenance Manuals, Engine Shop Manuals, and Engine Illustrated Parts Catalogs. Trains others to use and personally applies FLIGHT DECK, GE Aerospace’s proprietary operating systems , fundamentals and behaviors, the site’s Repair Station and Quality Control Manual, Training Manual, Test Cell Facility Operations Manual, and all other applicable regulatory requirements. Accurately document work performed, discrepancies, and corrective actions; book time and maintain traceability in ERP systems . Perform supplementary shop and housekeeping duties as a part of the site’s 5S and Total Proactive Maintenance initiatives. Safely operate shop equipment (fork trucks, overhead cranes, tugs , etc. ) , coach others on operation s and GE Aerospace Policies & Procedures. Ability to use mechanical ingenuity and make decisions in a fast-paced production environment in a safe, effective and efficient manner. Availability to work flexible shift patterns as required including nights, weekends, and holidays. Ability to travel to remote international locations for initial training for an extended period . Minimum Requirements : Minimum high school diploma / GED with 4+ years of hands-on work experience with advanced inspection and engine test equipment. 1+ years of leadership experience, with a demonstrated ability to guide teams and drive execution. Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Powerplant License required . Desired Characteristics : Demonstrate proficiency in Aircraft Engines Test experience , mechanical , Inspection , Borescope , Test Throttle Operator , Preliminary Review Designated Inspector , Engine Test troubleshooting. Proven leadership experience driving process improvements and resolving complex test issues . Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities. Background in or familiarity with SAP, Oasis, or a similar ERP software. Ability to communicate effectively across all levels. Demonstrated quality, compliance, and customer satisfaction mindset. Possess a desire to learn constantly in every aspect of OWS test operations and expand their knowledge to different technologies and e ngine p rograms.
