Job Description
Department overview The Treasury and Balance Sheet Management (TBSM) department of TD Bank is responsible for overseeing the management of TD Bank’s: non-trading market risk, liquidity risk and capital position. The Enterprise Funds Transfer Pricing (FTP) team within TBSM supports the Bank's Product Profitability and Product Management through: Defining the Funds Transfer Pricing methodologies and frameworks used in evaluating the margins and NII performance of the Bank’s various products Setting the Funds Transfer Pricing rates which drive product pricing and margin measurement Working with TD's various Deposit and Lending Product Businesses to support effective product pricing and providing Treasury centric advice Understanding the risks of each product and developing methodology to reflect those risks in pricing Understanding business profitability drivers and recommending strategies to achieve stable and predictable margins.
The opportunity
Serve as a top-level Funds Transfer Pricing expert, leading complex initiatives and advanced analytical work across products and business segments. You will shape methodologies, advise senior leaders and governance forums, and provide authoritative direction on complex FTP matters and strategic Treasury decisions. The product/segment scope of the role focuses on the Canadian Personal, Small Business, and Wealth Management deposit products.
What you'll do
Provide deep technical expertise and senior analytical leadership on complex FTP matters and key margin drivers. • Lead advanced FTP forecasting, margin attribution and assessment of interest rate and funding impacts in line with Treasury frameworks and governance. Coordinate responses to auditors, regulators and risk partners and represent Treasury’s FTP perspective within the area of expertise. Partner with Product and other stakeholders on major initiatives, pricing strategies and new offerings, including impacts to margins and balance sheet economics. Act as a recognized FTP subject-matter expert and provide guidance, recommendations and technical insight to internal and external partners. Participate in governance forums, working groups and committees to influence decision-making and represent Treasury’s interests. Lead enhancement of FTP methodologies, processes, models and analytical systems. Anticipate emerging business, market and regulatory issues and recommend large-scale functional or technical improvements. What you bring Significant depth and breadth of expertise in FTP and strong knowledge of Treasury and balance sheet disciplines. Experience advising executives and senior business leaders on ambiguous, high-impact pricing, margin and performance matters. The ability to formulate methodologies, policies, operating standards and execution strategies. Innovative thinking and sound judgment when solving unique problems with broad financial or operational impact. Strong credibility in senior stakeholder, governance, audit and regulatory discussions.
