Skills and Competencies Technical, analytical mindset with attention to detail and a strong problem-solving approach Strong written and oral communication skills, with the ability to document and present findings clearly Demonstrated ability to learn quickly and adapt to evolving tools, technologies, and threat landscapes Computer literacy with working knowledge of operating systems, networks, and security fundamentals Ability to work in shifts as part of a 24/7 operation, including adhoc schedule adjustments based on business needs Relevant certifications such as Network+, Security+, or CEH are considered a plus Basic understanding of artificial intelligence concepts, with curiosity and enthusiasm for learning how AI tools can be used to improve processes and drive efficiency. Interest in exploring AI systems and a willingness to develop awareness of responsible AI practices, including risk management and ethical use Education Bachelor of Science degree in progress, preferably in a technology-related field Candidates ideally one year ahead of graduation are encouraged to apply Anticipated Start Date: March 2027 Responsibilities Supports the Fusion Center's 24/7 cybersecurity monitoring and response operations by reviewing, investigating, and escalating security events across Moody's global environment. Provide timely review of cybersecurity events originating from any source, including managed security services, internal tools, and internal or external reporting Investigate security alerts using Security Information and Event Management (SIEM), Security Orchestration, Automation and Response (SOAR), and other technologies; collect evidence and work with teams to isolate and/or remediate as necessary Communicate and escalate potential incidents to the Incident Response team Analyze, correlate, and action on data from subscription and public cyber intelligence services; develop tactics to combat future threats Keep abreast of current security threats, events, technologies, vendors, and other aspects of the cyber threat landscape and propose changes or enhancements to our security posture where appropriate About the Team The Fusion Center provides 24/7 proactive cybersecurity threat monitoring and response for global Moody's Corporation. Leveraging the latest Security Information and Event Management (SIEM), Security Orchestration, Automation and Response (SOAR), and detection engineering technologies, the team combines best-in-class investigation practices to defend against the most advanced and evolving threats — including vulnerability scans, exploitation attempts, malware infections, phishing campaigns, data leakages, and more.
