About this role
The candidate will be responsible for supporting various Commodities Ops projects required to support business growth. Focus will be to migrate to strategic system from legacy system, support industry mandates, and a variety of business enabled Front to Back projects. The candidate will be required to - > Own the Commodities transformation roadmap o Lead the end-to-end delivery of strategic initiatives including platform migrations, legacy decommissioning, and automation programs. > Drive front-to-back modernization o Deliver transformation across the trade lifecycle (confirmations, settlements, reconciliations, and lifecycle events) with a focus on scalability and control uplift. > Portfolio & program leadership o Oversee a portfolio of concurrent initiatives, ensuring delivery against timelines, budgets, and defined business outcomes. > Stakeholder alignment across Business, Ops, and Technology o Partner with Sales & Trading, Technology, Risk, Finance, and Control functions to define priorities, secure resources, and drive execution. > Operating model design & execution o Define and implement target operating models, including process re-engineering, centralization, and automation. > Resource and demand management o Manage global demand pipeline, capacity planning, and prioritization across competing initiatives. > Governance & executive communication o Lead governance forums, provide clear executive-level updates, and escalate risks/issues with actionable mitigation plans. > Value realization & metrics tracking o Ensure delivery of measurable benefits including cost reduction, capacity creation, and risk reduction, supported by robust KPIs and dashboards. > Technology partnership o Work closely with Technology to design and implement strategic platforms and enable digitization and automation initiatives. > Regulatory & industry engagement o Stay aligned with regulatory requirements and industry developments impacting Commodities operations. > 8 to 10 Years of Experience in Financial Services, particularly Operations activities and ideally with experience in Fixed Income OTC Derivatives line and/or project management role. > Minimum Bachelor or Master's degree > Excellent verbal and written communication skills. > Demonstrate analytical skills and attention to detail in their prior work experience. > Candidate should be a self-starter with the ability to work either on their own initiative or as part of a broader team. > Ability to work independently, multi-task and keep track of outstanding items and meet deadlines. > Flexibility to react and adapt to business needs and changing priorities. > Individual should be performance-driven, proactive and able to display a proven ability to take on challenges and to execute upon key deliverables. > Strong sense of urgency, accountability and ownership and proactively escalates issues / roadblocks. > Experience in large-scale project /portfolio change management. > Mobilize cross functional teams to resolve issues using both tactical and strategic solutions. > Anticipate problems/obstacles and understand the ramifications to business. Offer workable commercial solutions, build solutions, and apply lessons. > In challenging situations make timely, sound and commercially focused decisions balancing risk, opportunity, and cost. > Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Visio preferred.
